Oakley Psychological Associate's mission is to make psychological assessment and treatment services accessible in the community. We provide a variety of services, including:
- Comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations
- Social skills/self-regulation groups
- Family support
- Family education workshops
- Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)
- Individual child therapy
- Family therapy
Oakley Psychological Associates provides diagnostic and treatment services for a variety of issues, including:
- Interpersonal, situational, and complex trauma
- Inattention and hyperactivity
- Learning differences
- Struggles with organization and planning
- Fears, anxiety, and excessive worry
- Sadness and depression
- General developmental concerns
- Unusual or problematic behaviors (e.g., hearing voices, self-harm)
- Social challenges
- Concerns about mental illness

We want to make sure that you and your child get the best treatment possible. If we feel that another provider or agency will be a better fit, we will let you know and try to help you find someone.
After contacting Oakley Psychological Associates, we will conduct a brief telephone intake to determine appropriate services.
Evaluation
If an evaluation is scheduled, the psychologist will conduct a diagnostic interview with the individual or the child’s parent/caregiver. This interview can be conducted via telehealth using our HIPAA secure platform or in-person at our office. Upon completion of the interview, the psychologist will discuss the evaluation plan. In addition to individual testing, collateral reports (like parent and teacher measures) are typically completed. Evaluations are usually conducted in one day, though we are happy to discuss alternative scheduling arrangements if this does not seem to work for you or your family. At the conclusion of the evaluation, the clinician will provide initial feedback and recommendations, which will be expanded in the written report. Clinicians meet with individuals and families after they receive the report and work with them to obtain treatment, either through Oakley Psychological Associates or another agency.
Treatment
For families participating in treatment, the clinician will start with an initial assessment that can be conducted via telehealth using our HIPAA secure platform or in-person. After the assessment, the clinician will review the treatment plan, which may include individual, group, or family therapy. Regardless of the treatment modality, the clinician will routinely review your child's treatment plan with you and is always open to discussing questions or concerns.
School consultation
Oakley Psychological Associates routinely consults with school personnel and assists with case studies, both for children receiving evaluations or participating in treatment. While the evaluations conducted at Oakley Psychological Associates can be used for the case study process to formulate an IEP or 504 Plan, this varies by school and school district.
Oakley Psychological Associates believes that ongoing professional education and consultation is important to ensure that good diagnostic and evaluation services are available in the community. Oakley Psychological Associates provides consultation and supervision to individual clinicians wishing to expand their diagnostic skills, as well as to other agencies desiring to develop or expand their assessment program. While we do not currently have a formal training program, graduate level students interested in a diagnostic or supplemental practicum are encouraged to reach out to us to get an update on our training program and opportunities.
